About the courier club

 

The Courier Club was an idea that has been in our heads for a long time. An idea brought about by trying to search for certain subjects that related to us the drivers and about the industry we work in.

Type into any search engine such as Google, the words "courier" or "driver" and almost all of the time the resulting links will be to websites of the large courier or transport companies, that's fine but what about something that relates to just the drivers of those big companies?  Something that keeps us informed of news and events that happen within our industry?  How about a forum where by drivers can discuss the issues that effect them most? whether they are employed, Self employed or sub contractor, Where somebody who possibly is thinking about starting in this line of work can ask questions of those that have the experience in this field?  Yes you can find it but it's spread across a wide spectrum of different web sites and news media. Why not just one website that can carry all of the above?  That is why we decided upon the Courier Club, a website created by drivers for drivers.

 

From the initial idea up until its first launch on the 6th October 2009 The courier club has been almost a year in the making. It is solely funded by its creators and is a not for profit website, any advertising on the site is mainly to help with running costs although at the moment we are offering all ads for free. We are very happy with the fact that those that have chosen to come on board with us are companies and organisations that have endorsed our web site by placing their links and logo's with us.
